  1945年生于北京,中国当代著名彩墨画家、中国人民对外友好协会艺术创作院副院长、中国画会理事、中央文史研究馆书画院研究员、国家一级美术师、教授、中国美术家协会会员、美国西北大学客座教授、美国现代艺术交流学会会长、北京大学光华管理学院客座教授、荣宝斋画院赵准旺工作室导师。赵准旺师承亚明、吴冠中、崔子范、张仃等先生。赵准旺的作品在全国美展及国际性大展中多次获奖。并在世界各地(欧美亚太地区)举办30余次画展,2006年荣宝斋举办“田园乡情”赵准旺水墨画展;同年12月又举办了纪念长征70周年“万水千山途记-赵准旺重走长征路写生作品展”;2007、2008年分别在第五、第六届奥运文化节期间举办了“北京四季 风韵画展”、“奥运情画展”。《北京四季风韵画集》、《赵准旺奥运情画集》作为北京奥组委官方礼品在奥运庆典活动中赠送200多个国家来宾,为宣传北京起到积极作用。后又在2012年北京伦敦奥运会期间为伦敦奥运会献上《伦敦北京奥运情》这幅作品作品长10米宽1.8米,复制品也作为中国奥林匹克美术大展的礼品送与200多个国家,其作品多次被中国美术馆、新加坡国家博物馆、澳大利亚国家博物馆、法国艺术博物馆、德国国家博物馆等收藏。收入《中国当代美术家名人录》等,并被列入英国剑桥国际名人传记中心出版的《世界名人传记辞典》及美国《世界杰出人物与领袖传记》。出版有《万水千山途记-赵准旺写生作品展(一)、万水千山途记-赵准旺写生作品展(二)》、《赵准旺水墨画集》、《名家画北京》、《田园乡情——赵准旺水墨画集》、《山水画坛——赵准旺作品》及《人文奥运 魅力北京-北京四季风韵画集》、《北京奥运情画集》、《赵准旺彩墨画集》等三十多种画册(集)。

  As one of famous Chinese painting artists in the contemporary era, Zhao Zhunwang was born in 1945.

  He is the member of the China Artist Association, Researcher of art academy of literature-history research institute of the CPC's central committee, the national senior fine artist,as well as a visiting professor of American North-western University.

  Due to the influence of his family, he desperately loved painting when he was still a kid.Two Chinese painting maters Wu Guangzhong and Cui Zifan used to be his teacher. During studying in the Chinese Painting Institute of Jiangsu, he ever learned from Ya Ming.

  Mr. Zhao gets many awards in a lot of art competes both domestic and overseas. He used to hold more than 30 private painting exhibitions almost all over the world, including Europe, America and Pacific-Asia area.

  Parts of his works are collected by the China National Museum of Fine Arts, Singapore National Museum, National Museum of Australia, MAC (in France), and Nemzeti Muzeum (in Germany). And the other ones are sold publicly by Sotheby's, Christie's, Hanhai, Guardian, Rongbao, Poly and Sungari in good price.

  Zhao Zhunwang's biography as well as his works are signed and sealed in Directory of Contemporary Famous Chinese Artists, Dictionary of International Biography(published by International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England), and Biography of Celebrities and Leaders Worldwide (America).

  More than thirty different editions of his painting collections have been published so far, for example, the Ttrials of a Long Journey: Zhao Zhunwang' Sketching Works Exhibiton, Beautiful Countryside: Zhao Zhunwang's Paintings Collections, and The Charming Four Seasons in Beijing: Zhao Zhunwang's Paintings Collections as well.

  1991年,我第一次来到美利坚合众国。在我眼中,这是个神奇的地方,是一块本应为印第安人世代繁衍生息的土地。1776年,《独立宣言》发表,从那时算起,美利坚合众国也仅有二百多年的历史,可就在这短短的二百多年里,美国各方面豪杰辈出、高速发展,如今已是政治、军事、经济高度发达、全面优势的国家,文化方面也广泛引领着世界潮流。现当代光怪陆离的艺术现象发生、汇集在这里,吸引着各国艺术家探索新形式、新观念的目光。我也是这些人中的一员,在美国如饥似渴的艺术学习和艺术探索中,过去不曾关注过的那些与中国有关的事件,逐渐引起了我的注意,其中就有一万多名华工远渡重洋,参与美国中央太平洋铁路建设的事情。2017年年底,美国加州众议员朱感生先生跟我说起太平洋铁路的华工问题,一下激活了我多年的记忆。在美国生活了这么多年,我更加看清了华人对美国方方面面所做的贡献,也体会到了华人在美国所遭遇的一些不公平待遇。我想与其愤愤不平,不如脚踏实地,选一个创作点,充分表现华人的坚苦卓绝、伟大贡献。于是我决定创作一幅反映华工参与中央太平洋铁路建设为题材的作品,以此表达对早期来美华工的怀念与敬意。2018年4月,我正式开始创作准备。首先查阅了大量修建中央太平洋铁路的华工资料。资料显示,这条规模宏大的铁路,全长3000余公里,横跨美洲大陆,沟通美国东西地区,从纽约到旧金山原本六个月的行程缩短至一个星期,被誉为“19世纪最伟大的工程之一”。很多人不知道,这项伟大工程的背后,浸透了一万二千余名华工的辛酸与血泪。这条铁路修建过程中,华工数量占所有铁路工人的大部分,他们在恶劣的自然条件和严峻的社会环境下,勤勤恳恳地铺设铁轨,拿着微薄的薪水,夜以继日地工作,在耗时六年的铁路修建过程中,牺牲的华工总数至今难以完全统计,仅其中最艰难的内华达山脉路段修建过程中,就有1200余位华工死于山崩、爆破工程和其他意外。1869年5月10日,美国中央太平洋铁路竣工。令人心寒的是,铁路贯通之后,没有任何一位华工代表出席庆典仪式,他们的贡献被埋没了一个多世纪。如今,这一状况正在得到改变。资料显示,美国加州众议院通过一项决议,将每年5月10日定为加州铁路华工纪念日,以表彰在19世纪参与兴建横跨美洲大陆铁路的华人劳工。2014年5月9日,美国劳工部将修建美国铁路的华人劳工纳入了荣誉纪念堂。他们是该纪念堂自1988年成立以来首次被列入其中的亚裔群体,华人劳工对太平洋铁路的杰出贡献正在逐步得到人们的肯定,这也意味着华人在世界历史中的地位得到进一步认可和提升。今天,中华民族已经傲立于世界民族之林,中美关系在经历风风雨雨之后,已纳入团结、互利、友谊的轨道。2015年9月,习近平主席访美期间,在西雅图美国侨界举办的欢迎招待会上,讲述了美国太平洋铁路和华工的故事。习主席说:“150年前,数以万计的华工漂洋过海来到美国,参与建设这条横跨美国东西部的铁路。他们拿着简陋的工具,在崇山峻岭和绝壁深谷中逢山开路、遇水搭桥,以血肉之躯铺就了通往美国西部的战略大通道,创造了当时的工程奇迹,带动了美国西部大开发,成为旅美侨胞奋斗、进取、奉献精神的一座丰碑。”在太平洋铁路竣工150周年纪念日前夕,为了让更多的人们了解当年修建中央太平洋铁路的华人劳工历史,一个画家所能做的,就是拿起画笔,真实的记录和表现这一切。我在搜集各种相关资料的同时,努力挖掘华人劳工对美国社会、经济所做出的卓越贡献,展示华人的集体智慧和坚苦卓绝的民族性格,不顾自己年逾七旬的高龄,多次来到美国,穿越了海拔6000多英尺的唐纳关山口,历经萨克拉门托、Swanston车站-罗克林采石场、机车库-纽卡斯尔-布鲁默深槽-奥本车站-Colfax-远望合恩角、Alta白垩岩,美洲河峡谷-移民山口-Soda Spring-唐纳关-唐纳湖-Verdi-里诺-特拉基河低谷-沃兹沃思-拉夫洛克车站、华人墓地、温尼马卡-十英里峡谷、金道钉历史遗迹、盐湖城等地,沿太平洋铁路全程写生。铁路沿线地势险要,食宿无常,我在严寒风雪、日晒雨淋中,深深体会了当年华工的艰难困苦,我用饱含深情的画笔,多方位、多角度搜集、感受、创作、表达,我要以艺术的角度展开那段历史,以长卷的形式展示早期华工在美国铁路建设史上的这一奇迹。如今这幅长1829厘米宽14厘米的《家山千里途记》长卷已经完成,可我的心情仍然不能平静。我们常说,历史是人民创造的,对历史的尊重,就是对人民的尊重。逝者长已矣,生者更要奋力前行,此幅作品除了表现华工150周年对美国铁路的贡献外以及华工艰苦的奋斗的精神,也充分的体现出美国壮丽的大好河山,我作为一个画家,用特殊现代表现技法在画面上体现出壮丽的河山艰苦的道路,从而也体现出中美友谊长存,此条铁路也充分的表达了友谊的结晶。从而我在异国他乡,不仅用画笔为华工同胞绘出浓墨重彩的篇章,更要传达修路华工展示出的、坚韧不拔的民族精神与中国力量,这才是我们后人最该珍惜和传承的宝贵财富。谨以此《乡山千里途记》长卷纪念华工参与修建美国太平洋铁路150周年。

  In 1991, I first came to the United States of America. In my eyes, this is a magical place. It is a land that is supposed to thrive for Indians for generations. In 1776, the Declaration of Independence was issued. Since then, the United States of America has only been more than two hundred years old. In the short period of more than two hundred years, the United States has emerged from all walks of life and developed rapidly. Today, it is a country with a high degree of political, military, and economic development and overall advantages. Cultural aspects have also led the world trend. The phenomenon of modern and contemporary strange art has occurred and gathered here, attracting the attention of artists from all over the world to explore new forms and new ideas. I am also one of these people, who have gradually drawn my attention to events related to China that have not been noticed in the American art study and exploration. Among them, more than 10,000 Chinese workers have traveled far and wide. Participate in the construction of the Central Pacific Railway in the United States. At the end of 2017, Congressman Zhugansheng of California told me about the Chinese workers of the Pacific Railway, and it activated my memory for many years. After living in the United States for so many years, I have seen more clearly the contribution of the Chinese to all aspects of the United States, and I also realized that the Chinese have encountered some unfair treatment in the United States. I want to be down-to-earth rather than indignant, choose a creative point to fully demonstrate the Chinese people's perseverance and great contribution. So I decided to create a work that reflects the participation of Chinese laborers in the construction of the Central Pacific Railway as a theme, in order to express my nostalgia and respect for the early arrival of Chinese laborers in the United States. In April 2018, I officially began writing preparations. First, I consulted a large number of Chinese laborers who built the Central Pacific Railway. According to statistics, this large-scale railway, with a total length of more than 3,000 kilometers, spans the American continent and communicates with the East and West regions of the United States. The original six-month journey from New York to San Francisco was shortened to one week and was hailed as "the greatest project of the 19th century." one. " Many people do not know that behind this great project, it is soaked with the bitterness and tears of more than 12,000 Chinese workers. In the course of construction of this railway, the number of Chinese workers accounted for the majority of all railway workers, who worked day and night, laying railroad tracks diligently under harsh natural conditions and harsh social conditions, with meagre salaries. During the six-year railway construction process, it has been difficult to fully count the total number of Chinese workers sacrificed. In the construction of the most difficult section of the Sierra Nevada Mountains alone, more than 1,200 Chinese workers died of landslides, demolition projects and other accidents. On May 10,1869, the Central Pacific Railway of the United States was completed. What is chilling is that after the railway was completed, no representative of a Chinese worker attended the celebration ceremony and their contribution was buried for more than a century. Today, that situation is changing. According to statistics, the California House of Representatives passed a resolution setting May 10 as the California Railway China Workers'Day each year in recognition of the Chinese laborers who participated in the construction of the railway across the American continent in the 19th century. On May 9,2014,the U.S. Department of Labor included Chinese laborers who built American railways in the Honor Memorial Hall. They are the first Asian group to be included in the memorial hall since its establishment in 1988. The outstanding contribution of Chinese laborers to the Pacific Railway is gradually being recognized by people. Thisalso means that the Chinese's position in world history has been further recognized and promoted.. Today, the Chinese nation is proud to be among the nations of the world,and China-US relations have been put on the track of unity,mutual benefit and friendship after all the ups and downs. In September 2015,during President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States, he told the story of the United States Pacific Railway and Chinese workers at a welcome reception hosted by the American Overseas Chinese community in Seattle. "About 150 years ago,tens of thousands of Chinese workers crossed the sea and came to the United States to participate in the construction of this railway that spans the Eastern and western parts of the United States," Xi said. With simple tools, they opened the way to the mountains and the deep valleys of the mountains,crossed the water,and paved the strategic passage to the western United States with flesh and blood. They created the engineering miracle of the time and led to the development of the western United States. Become a monument to the struggle, progress,and dedication of overseas Chinese in the United States. "On the eve of the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Pacific Railway, in order to let more people know the history of the Chinese laborers who built the Central Pacific Railway,all a painter can do is pick up the brush and record and express it. While collecting all kinds of relevant information, I have tried hard to tap the outstanding contributions made by Chinese laborers to the American society and economy,demonstrated the collective wisdom and national character of the Chinese, and came to the United States many times regardless of my age of more than seventy years. Crossing the dry mountains more than 6,000 feet above sea level, through Sacramento, Swanston Station-Luokelin Quarry, Machine Garage-Newcastle-Bulumo Deep Trough-Auburn Station-ColfaxFar Hope Horn, Alta Cretaceous Rock, American River Canyon-Immigration Pass-Tangnaguan Tangnahu-Verdi-Reno-, Traci River Valley-Lafuluoke Station, Chinese Cemetery, WennimaqiaTen Miles Canyon, Golden Nail Historic Site, Salt Lake City and other places, Sketching along the Pacific Railway. The terrain along the railway line is dangerous and the food and accommodation are unpredictable. In the cold, snow, sun and rain, I deeply realized the difficulties and hardships of the Chinese laborers in the past. I used an affectionate brush to collect, feel, create, and express in many directions and angles. I want to start that history from an artistic point of view and show this miracle of early Chinese workers in the history of American railway construction in the form of a long roll. Today, the 1829cm long and 140cm wide volume of "The Thousand Miles of Home Hill" has been completed, but my mood is still not calm. We often say that history is created by the people, and that respect for history means respect for the people. The dead are long and the living are struggling to move forward. This work not only shows the contribution of the 150th anniversary of the Chinese workers to the U.S. railways, but also the hard spirit of the Chinese workers. It also fully reflects the magnificent mountains and rivers of the United States. As a painter, The use of special modern techniques to reflect the magnificent rivers and mountains on the screen of the arduous road, and thus also reflect the long-term friendship between China and the United States, this railway also fully expressed the crystallization of friendship. Therefore, in a foreign country, I not only use the brush to paint a heavy chapter for the compatriots of the Chinese workers, but also to convey the national spirit and Chinese strength displayed by the Chinese workers of the road repair. This is the most precious wealth that we should cherish and inherit. I would like to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Huagong's participation in the construction of the Pacific Railway in the United States.
